K.C. Services Family Violence Programs' primary
mission is to provide resources and skills to
individuals and communities so that families become
violence and abuse free. Healthy families and
relationships are fostered and promoted through
the provision of a variety of programs which incorporate
education, treatment, referral services and counseling.
- Batterers' Treatment
K.C. Services is an Orange County Probation
Department approved Batterers' Treatment Program
provider. The program is fifty-two weeks of
education and counseling and is offered to those
mandated to attend by various agencies.
- Child Abusers' Treatment
K.C. Services is a licensed Child Abusers'
Treatment Program Provider. This program consists
of 52 weeks of Child Abusers' Treatment. Victim
services, urine testing and home visitations
are also conducted.
- Supervised Visitations and Monitored
Exchanges
For parents who are ordered by court, K.C.
Services provide child and parent visitations
supervised by staff skilled in parenting, child abuse,
chemical dependency, and domestic violence issues.
Our staff are trained to monitor the visit and
provide guidance when intervention is necessary.
In addition, a trained staff person is available
for exchanges of children between parents.
- Substance Abuse Program
The substance of abuse program of our Family
Violence Division is for domestic violence clients
mandated to attended as well as for those interested
in a low- intensive outpatient program. Topics
include physiological and physiological aspects,
relapse and recovery and twelve steps.
- Parenting Education
K.C. Services provides a 24 week Parenting
Education Program. This program is offered free
to spouses of those required to attend. Topics
include child development, discipline, safety
and stress management.
- Anger Management Program
K.C.
Services offers a 10, 12 or 24 week Anger
Management Program. This program is
offered on a sliding fee scale. Anger
management and stress reduction skills are
taught.
